Renter Score, making your rent payments count.

Renter Score is for people who want to own their own property but have poor credit. Our online platform tracks rental payment history, which generates a score that our selected lenders will use to offer mortgages or properties for letting.

The startup is set to appear on BBC One’s Dragons’ Den on January 11th at 8pm to pitch their idea to the formidable panel of Dragons: Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden, Touker Suleyman, Sara Davies and Steven Bartlett.

Identical twin Chanise and Channett Thompson will pitch their innovative business idea to the Dragons.

The entrepreneurs believe that renters should have the right to buy and let properties base on their renting history and not personal credit – if you can afford to pay your rent on time, you can afford to pay your mortgage.

Renter Score was formed a year ago and has already seen investment from the Mayor of London entrepreneur pitching competition.

The Dragons’ Den appearance marks a significant milestone for Renter Score as they seek investment to bring their business to the renting market and deliver the solutions for renters with low credit scores or people looking to go on the housing ladder.

Renter Score’s aim is to help generations of renters & poor credit holders get approved and secure their future.

You can expect an emotional and engaging pitch from the twin entrepreneurs Chanise and Channett Thompson as they share their business idea with the Dragons and  their incredible journey so far.

The episode will be aired on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 8pm on Thursday, January 11 2024.
